Overview
Kimberley Ronan’s rebellion is a failed coup inside Komodo in Komodo. Kimberley Ronan, Tyler Rummel, Admiral Ramy Kapila, and other officers try to remove Basra Kusniqa Camden from power after concluding that she is destroying the civic order of the system.
Coup
The conspiracy forms after the treasury release and Basra’s increasingly extreme orders. The rebels plan to disable Komodo Unyielding’s central reactor, seal emergency bulkheads, take the bridge, dissolve the Executive Guard, and clear or destroy decks down to Black Sciences. Kapila is pushed over the edge when Basra orders escaped untried prisoners added to a kill-on-sight registry for old Sysdef patrol drones.
The bridge operation begins with the signal word “maneater.” Kimberley arrests Basra for crimes against humanity while Kapila orders the First Fleet to blockade Unyielding. The plan collapses when an unseen loyal commando attacks rebel peacekeepers and the captured Immolator arrives under Rose Concannon’s secret command. Tyler restores Basra’s access, and Basra triggers Contingency Ouroboros, reversing the ship’s lockdown pattern and opening the way for Linet Delacroix’s dragon-masked operators.
The rebellion ends with Kimberley captured and Basra still in control. Kimberley is later executed by decompression alongside the captured Lion, while many other rebels are sentenced to Komodo’s deuterium mines.
