Overview

The series is HeyHiHaejin’s ten-part debut project in A Cancellation. Nam Hae-jin plans the series after Amanda Bannington’s collapse, using a dark thumbnail built around wings and a gaunt Amanda with an acoustic guitar.

The series covers Amanda’s true story, the trial, Brad Miller’s death, and Henry Owens’s arrest. It is presented as a true-crime confession format fused with food-video spectacle.

Production

Hae-jin and Harold Kim spend a month shooting, editing, and releasing the series from a North Hollywood warehouse. Harold operates the camera and helps produce the work, but he argues with Hae-jin when she stretches facts or claims shocking truths that their legal notes do not fully support.

The series becomes the most direct in-world competitor to Harold’s written account. Where Harold claims to write the story as accurately as he can, Hae-jin turns the same events into a rising creator career.
