Overview
Green Flower Chinese is a small Chinese restaurant in Current Affairs. It is on the west side of Allen Street in a narrow-looking building that seems stacked together and shares walls with a passport expediting service and a wholesale rice store. Its decor is plain enough that Calvin compares it to a long-stored manila envelope.
The restaurant is associated with Calvin Munn’s brief involvement with the Green Flower proprietor, who owns and runs it.
Description And Role
Calvin enters Green Flower Chinese while drunk and searching for dumplings. The restaurant contains a dining room, a route toward the back, and a storeroom where the proprietor and Calvin share a sexual encounter after closing.
The restaurant is also where Calvin later learns that the proprietor has a husband who had been away in China.
