Overview

Harrison Martingale is a New York congressman in Current Affairs. He has styled gray hair and a heathered gray suit when he first recruits Calvin Munn, appearing more vital than old despite the gray. Later, under pressure, he is described as looking old and small.

Martingale is one of Calvin’s most important patrons. He connects Calvin to the New Liberals Institute, hires him for reelection art, and later gives him a route back into political design work after Calvin leaves MILPREP.

Biography

Martingale first contacts Calvin after hearing that Calvin made the successful Proposal 1 campaign. He brings Calvin into the New Liberals Institute in a junior paid role, and Calvin later develops the American Vitality brand identity for the organization.

During Martingale’s reelection campaign, Calvin creates a blue-and-gold portrait that is publicly credited to Zoë Ferraro. Martingale’s office later becomes Calvin’s daytime workplace after Donovan Johnson fires him from NLI.

Years later, Calvin returns to Martingale’s office and overhears Martingale speaking with a RINIC-linked woman. Calvin reports the suspected compromise to Gabriel McKenrick. After the USNS Mercy attack, Martingale fires Calvin for agreeing to speak at a rally that conflicts with his anti-mobilization line, and he is later arrested for being blackmailed through the RINIC connection.
