Overview
New Liberals Institute, or NLI, is a think tank in Current Affairs. Harrison Martingale recruits Calvin Munn for a paid junior role there after Calvin’s Amenity work for Proposal 1.
NLI gives Calvin his first major political-branding platform. Its Fifth Avenue office, boardroom, and staff structure become the setting for the development of American Vitality.
Organization
Donovan Johnson is Calvin’s main managerial contact at NLI. He hires Calvin at a flat rate for expected part-time hours, then gives him more work, healthcare, and managerial responsibilities as the organization expands.
Calvin pitches American Vitality as a replacement identity for the clinical institutional name. Over time, however, his work at NLI regresses toward safer corporate imagery while he secretly takes on Martingale reelection work. Donovan fires Calvin after learning that Calvin hid the campaign commitment.
