Overview
The Mefaki Mountains are the mountains on the eastern border of Calinitia in Calinitia Dreaming. Big Mef and Little Mef are visible markers from the city and from the Nataian side of the border.
Their orientation tells Adon Halicar when he has been carried east into Nataia.
Role
The Mefakis frame the southern and eastern geography of the novel: the Den lies near southern peaks, the Mefaki Valley is discussed by Achora advocates, and a Mefaki homestead shelters Sephret after his apostasy.
