Overview
Miho Sato is a doctor in “Lizard Man.” She is a herpetologist assigned to Takumi Hashimoto after his transformation from the Reptiloptrion project.
Biography
Miho replaces Dr. Kobayashi on Takumi’s case at the Miraitech Research Institute. When she first finds Takumi during a checkup, he has been left dangerously cold in a windowless examination room and has fallen into a hibernal sleep.
Miho turns warm air into the room and lies against Takumi on the examination table to warm him with body heat. After he becomes more lucid, she asks detailed questions about his living conditions, physical difficulties, finances, diet, hydration, and goals for the future.
Miho recognizes that Takumi needs practical support beyond the appointment. She gives him her phone number, tells him to call her that evening, and begins looking for an apartment in Koto because she lives nearby and wants someone checking on him.
After touring a basement apartment on Takumi’s behalf, Miho helps him move into it. She arranges experimental modifications with a Miraitech grant, including stone cladding, heat, humidity, full-spectrum UVB lights, and heat bulbs. She wears a swimsuit under her work clothes because of the apartment’s heat and avoids making Takumi feel watched while he removes his coat and moves naturally.
Miho is last seen helping Takumi settle into the Koto apartment and telling him to find meaning as Takumi Hashimoto rather than as a superhero or “Lizard Man.”
