Mrs. Kev-Hla

Overview

Mrs. Kev-Hla is the Zajan proprietor of Zaj Perfectly Fish House in Calinitia Dreaming. She is a tiny woman with a forceful presence who calls Adon Halicar tus-niju and mixes practical severity with deep affection.

She is Adon’s landlady, occasional employer, and one of the few stable domestic figures in his life.

Role

Mrs. Kev-Hla gives Adon advice, breakfast, warning glances, and refuge. She agrees to shelter Aurora after the Teskennen estate escape, then keeps the restaurant functioning through riot and invasion.

During the Nataian attack she cooks troop meals and refuses the idea that Tuvaku has any claim over Calinitia. She stays behind with Rori to defend the Fish House while Adon, Guinevere, Timo, and Mandi board the Aurorandia.
