Overview

The Rivington Street apartment is Calvin Munn and Rebecca Sedki’s married home in Current Affairs. Rebecca selects unit 4D, a three-bedroom apartment with exposed brick, warm hardwood, a corner view, and strong light.

The apartment becomes the couple’s domestic base, Calvin’s painting space, and the setting where their marriage is renegotiated through Rebecca’s sexuality, Calvin’s affairs, and Imogene Schmidt’s growing presence.

Description And Events

Calvin and Rebecca begin a domestic honeymoon there after moving in, cooking, gaming, and arranging Rebecca’s childhood possessions. The third bedroom becomes Calvin’s office and a place where he opens Madeline Payne’s photo prints.

The apartment hosts the aftermath of Calvin and Rebecca’s wedding, Laura Bander’s arrival, New Year’s gatherings, drug use, and several major marital arguments. It is also where Calvin finds Imogene half-undressed after Gabriel McKenrick’s intervention and where he later tells Rebecca the marriage must end.
