Overview

Rebecca Sedki is Arthur Sedki’s daughter and Calvin Munn’s wife in Current Affairs. She is introduced as a twenty-year-old Egyptian woman with long black hair, a thin gold nose ring, and an Upper East Side social ease. Later descriptions emphasize her medium-toned skin, red lip, gold nose ring, and short black pixie cut.

Rebecca links Calvin to the Sedki family’s money, expectations, and social world. She is affectionate and generous toward him, but her continuing attraction to Imogene Schmidt becomes the central conflict inside the marriage.

Biography

Rebecca meets Calvin at the Sedki apartment after Arthur’s renovation project. She then has him invited to No-Fly, where their relationship begins amid her friend group. After the Proposal 1 campaign passes and Calvin’s position with the Sedkis becomes less secure, Rebecca remains his emotional and social link to the family.

Rebecca and Calvin break up after he sees evidence of her sexual contact with Imogene, but they reconcile at Madeline Payne and Judson Payne’s Nashville wedding. They move into the Rivington Street apartment, become engaged during the Blood Ties shoot, and marry in a Sahidic ceremony organized through Rebecca’s family.

The marriage grows unstable as Rebecca tells Calvin she thinks she is gay and asks him to keep the matter from Arthur and Cleo. She continues seeing Imogene, resists divorce because of her family and money, and later enters a no-contact reset with Calvin after he finally ends the marriage. She is last heard from in Portugal with Imogene, asking through Nik Marlan whether she should return after Calvin is injured.
