Aeschylus puzzles are cryptographic contact puzzles in Scenebux. Max Pacifica says T4 Fund sometimes hides burner information in their solutions.
Function
The puzzles serve as a gatekeeping mechanism for secretive technical and ideological networks. Ben follows Jacaranda Rosenbaum-Josselewicz toward Syndicate Deutschland because J.P. Makanga’s group may know how to crack one.
While ill in New York, Ben solves an Aeschylus puzzle by recognizing three RSA ciphertexts as the same plaintext encrypted with weak exponent e = 3. He recovers an email address and sends a message saying he solved the puzzle and wants to talk.
Plot Role
The reply sends Ben to Bullman Building 3801A, where the Young Realists party connects him to Gabriel Findhom and the Dubai section of the novel.
