Overview
The American Reconstruction Government is the postwar American authority in Burn Zone. It operates under the Coalition-guided reconstruction order after the American defeat.
Role
Lorianna Blackstone identifies herself as part of the American Reconstruction Government and represents the Coalition during Carter Clemens’s investigation. Ray Bishop says the prosecution comes from reconstructed government headquarters and consists of American military veterans.
The government’s authority is tied to a reconstructed constitution, the reconstruction pledge, and the tribunal system that judges wartime regime figures as enemy combatants rather than ordinary criminal defendants. Detainees are made to pledge allegiance to a republic committed to peace, disarmament, and Coalition guidance, and Blackstone cites the reconstructed constitution when rejecting ordinary prewar protections.
The government also provides the American face of the occupation. Blackstone wears COFOR fatigues with prewar service markers, sentences the surviving detainees in the presence of the Coalition commander of the Northeast occupation zone forces, and says the tribunal’s decisions are final and without appeal.
