Overview
The Golu are large animated stonework beings in Calinitia Dreaming. Individual Golu are shown as physically enormous, sometimes around eight feet tall, and socially vulnerable to confusion, public fear, detention, and church classification.
Their treatment becomes one measure of how Calinitian institutions handle people who do not fit ordinary political or sacral categories.
Role
Golu appear in public transport, city disorder, and MI controversy.
During the Den crisis, a Golu answers Adon Halicar’s prayer to Ba’at, protects him from Suatu attackers, and helps clear rubble. The Office of Perpetual Sanctification then classifies that Golu as antisacral, and an OPS-marked Marine Cataphract kills it.
