Jay Béarnaise is a businessman associated with Softbloc who appears on Highly Regarded Television Network, a Twitter business show recorded in San Francisco. Siset Pytha describes him to Ben Etxina as having received a large exit and as a discreet but committed supporter of Carl Froht. Ben estimates Jay to be almost seven feet tall, with a runner’s build. He meets him wearing a suit.
Jay opens the recording-studio door when Ben arrives with pastries under the name Will. He declines to eat them, saying he avoids carbohydrates while taking Chinese peptides, and names retatrutide. Kane, his video employee, subsequently takes Ben to a nightclub and charges the evening to Jay’s card.
Following the Hammett investigation, Jay interviews Ben on the show. Ben discusses what his nondisclosure agreement permits and promotes Mission Critical, his new firm. After the broadcast, Jay asks him to locate the nude-celebrity wax sculpture from the music video Famous, which he wants to buy. Ben directs him toward case intake and a possible quote.
