Overview
Karz Kystarlik is an Azalite real estate developer and Achora supporter in Calinitia Dreaming. He is defined chiefly by wealth, household authority, and his role among the Azalite men surrounding the Society to Build Achora.
Karz is identified by Bud Prodaja as the man behind dark amogen, and Emilia Magnalanti warns that his ties to government, mob power, and Azalite finance make him difficult for the Military Investigators to touch.
Role
Karz’s Peak House dinner and cleansing ritual reveal how elite Azalite domestic life connects to Achora, tainted amogen drops, and ritual violence. His wife Hera Kystarlik gives Adon the lead to Beni Teskennen, and Karz later appears implicated in Hera’s death.
A later vision shows Karz being reprimanded by the changed Heather Faltina for killing Hera publicly and for failing to report the threat of Adon to the Aksakanit.
