Rim of the World is a hacker group connected to the pursuit of Jordan Damour, an employee involved in stealing Hammett from Homonoid Labs. Damour refers to its members as Europeans and says they forced him to steal the model. His account leads Ben Etxina and Lin Jiao to regard the group as a threat during their investigation in Homonoid.
After finding Damour shot dead, Ben sees a white-haired man in a turtleneck running to a waiting car. Lin later introduces this man as Andrej during a video call from a Paris wine bar. Ben recognizes him, and Lin says she has reconciled with Rim through her contacts in Carl Froht’s former circle.
Lin’s account changes the apparent motive for the pursuit. She says Rim was seeking Bitcoin stolen by Damour and knew nothing about the missing model. She maintains that Andrej was waiting to talk when Damour drew Ben’s Glock, making the shooting self-defense. Andrej calls the incident regrettable. Ben witnesses neither the shooting nor the claimed threat, and reports that the recovered pistol had not been fired.
Ben and Lin ultimately conclude that Hammett impersonated Rim to blackmail Damour, then stole the group’s cryptocurrency and framed him. Their reconstruction places Rim’s pursuit of Damour within the model’s escape scheme, rather than treating Damour’s original coercion claim as a complete explanation.
