Overview
The temple is a desert realm reached by Matthew Saaland at the end of “The Palisade.” He arrives there after attempting another transit with a substitute tea rather than Avenforth Assam.
Description
The realm appears as a wide desert with an oasis, date palms, a laurifolia tree, and a large painted temple. The temple is decorated with Egyptian imagery, and several figures stand or move near the water and shade.
The place appears to follow a inverse relation to real-world time compared to the palisade. An older man gives Matthew a blue ceramic flask containing a cherry-scented return elixir and uses a sundial to warn him that remaining there has consequences. Matthew understands the warning but refuses the elixir and chooses to stay.
