Overview
Walter Yeo is a wealthy technology figure in Current Affairs and the husband of Clarissa Yeo, formerly Clarissa Kim. He is in his late thirties but appears younger.
Walter first enters the plot through a lavish cyberpunk birthday party that Calvin Munn designs for him. He later buys No-Fly and provides money that helps Clint Prescott and Misha Novak complete Blood Ties.
Biography
Clarissa brings Calvin into Walter’s birthday event as a designer of immersive spaces, including a spaceport-like lounge, a chill room, and VR installations. Walter appears at the party in a tuxedo without a bowtie and with a gold-leaf temple implant arranged by Calvin as part of the event.
Walter gives Calvin and Rebecca Sedki a form-pressed drug at the party, which contributes to their later craving for high-quality drugs. Years later, the filmmakers credit Calvin for pointing them toward Walter as a potential film backer. Walter’s purchase of No-Fly signals that the old scene has changed and that more money is entering it.
