Arborist prayer corruption is the hidden mechanism by which modern Arborist prayer has been diverted in Calinitia Dreaming. Guinevere Hail discovers that statues of Netra and Turis began to have blanked-out eyes around the war era.
Prayer before those blank-eyed effigies appears to open worshippers to a false voice rather than the true mother and father.

The discovery explains the changes in Guinevere, Emilia, OPS behavior, and the broader church. An older Netra statue with circular pupils lets Guinevere reach the true mother.
After Guinevere destroys Macix with Netra’s godfire, wider Arbordom begins to wake from the false inversion that had shaped church life for roughly a century.
