Overview
Guinevere Hail, often called Gwen, is an associate priestess of the Loratian Arborist Church in Calinitia Dreaming. She is from Laissaine and moved to Calinitia as a child because of her father’s Pan-Oceanic work. Her physical presentation is priestly and controlled. She first appears in associate robes, with rouged lips and auburn hair.
Guinevere is the first person able to confirm that Heather Grace Faltina’s disappearance is tied to dark ritual. She becomes Adon Halicar’s closest ally and later the instrument of Netra against Macix.
Role
Guinevere initially works within the cathedral system but comes to distrust Arborist ritual after sensing that prayer and realignment have been corrupted. She uses fjordroot to protect herself and Adon from mental influence, heals Adon by sacral mending, and discovers that blank-eyed divine effigies are the mechanism behind Arborist prayer corruption.
Before the final crisis she urges Adon’s circle to flee Calinitia by Pan-Oceanic liner. At the Bank of Achora destruction, she channels Netra’s godfire and destroys Macix. She is last seen aboard the Aurorandia with Adon, considering a future in North Loratia.
