Overview
The Dimatians are an ancient Calinitian people in Calinitia Dreaming, tied to a defunct throne, old temples, imperial busts, and the southern gods. Adon Halicar is Calinitian Dimatian and is physically compared to old Dimatian statuary.
The group is mostly encountered through ruins, memory, ancestry, and Adon’s surviving religious practice.
Role
Dimatian history underlies the buried Ba’at temple beneath the Bank of Achora. The Southern Wall is also said to have a Dimatian origin from thousands of years before the present.
Adon’s connection to Ba’at gives the ancient Dimatian religion direct force in the novel’s final struggle against Macix.
