Overview
J.P. Makanga is a hacker and Syndicate Deutschland member in Scenebux. Jacaranda Rosenbaum-Josselewicz describes him as Franco-African, an arch decelerationist, and a part-time dominatrix cam performer.
Ben describes J.P. as a big, sharp black man with a scarf, a lilt, and a deep voice.
Role
J.P. brings Jacaranda and Ben Etxina to L-Base in a jammer-equipped van. He later drives the syndicate van toward an operation against an AI data center. Ben and Jacaranda leave before the operation, but J.P. later calls Jacaranda in coded joking language that implies the group carried it out. A later news report says six Syndicate Deutschland suspects are charged over property damage, destruction of important working equipment, and an explosion, and that they face ten years in prison.
Jacaranda says she may have told J.P. about Monarcha after hearing about it from Max Pacifica. That possible disclosure links J.P. to the route by which Syndicate Deutschland found the system Gabriel Findhom later accuses Ben of destroying.
