Overview
Mike Piscone is a supporting character in Red Team. He is portrayed by Michael Dumas. Mike is the thirty-four-year-old CEO of the startup team working around Libra v2 red-team reports.
Mike is introduced in a posh backyard, wearing eccentric clothes and exuding boyish wealth. His social habits and sudden death become part of the pattern that convinces Andrew Blake, Paul Sadek, and Rachel Heisner that Libra v2 may be killing people connected to the report.
Role in the Film
Andrew calls Mike after speaking with Ingrid Karlsson, a potential nonprofit client who says the red-team report is too expensive. Andrew asks Mike to join a future call with Picasso AI and says Mike only needs to keep his degree in frame while Andrew closes the sale.
Mike agrees because he loves Andrew and suggests that Andrew meet up with Rachel, Paul, and Shahram for a team gathering. He jokes through Andrew’s objections to the wording, shifting from “pow-wow” to “get-together” before Andrew settles on “gang.”
Mike is later shown dancing on ecstasy and snorting cocaine outside a West Hollywood club. He is last seen lying in an alley, choking and dying while sirens approach. Rachel tells Andrew the next morning that Mike overdosed at the club and died after being taken into an ambulance.
