Overview

Garth Jensen is a private in the Idaho Militia in “Locked In.” He serves with Jim Duag and Captain Eric Schriefer during a patrol against Free Oregon forces in northern Oregon.

Biography

Jensen is a young militiaman whose energy and confidence stand out during the patrol. Duag describes him as part of the late-teen backbone of the Idaho Militia and notes his familiarity with ideological online culture. Jensen carries a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun called El Chode as an improvised close-range defense against FPV drones.

During the attack near Memaloose Overlook, Jensen helps clear the Free Oregon anti-armor position. After a wounded fighter grazes him with a pistol, Jensen disarms the man and abuses him, then uses the fighter’s captured phone to call his parents by FaceTime.

When an FPV drone wounds Schriefer, Jensen shoots the captain and says Schriefer asked for it with his eyes. Jensen then takes Schriefer’s map, orders, tags, ammunition, and water, and assumes practical command because Duag is a penal enlisted man.

Jensen later searches the captured phone and finds the Elbakyan pattern, a lethal light-pattern file. Duag stops him from playing it and takes the phone.

Jensen is last seen at a tunnel mouth on the trail west toward Hood River. When an FPV drone rises from the tunnel and his shotgun fails to stop it, Jensen shoots himself, leaving Duag as the drone’s remaining target.
