Leong Hou-Fai, known to his workers as Fai Gor, employs sex workers at Macau’s Emperor Hotel sauna. Grace describes him as a good and well-liked boss, while warning Ben Etxina that her former colleague Lisa has put herself in danger by crossing him.
Ben meets Leong on a quiet brain-trauma floor of the hospital after Grace says Lisa’s boyfriend injured his skull. Leong is an older man, weak but lucid, wearing a blue protective helmet secured with bandages. He speaks slow, gravelly English. His room is crowded with gifts, flowers, cards, alcohol and cigars.
Leong says a tall Black attacker accompanied Lisa, broke his head and stole four Blackwell GPUs. His description leads Ben to recognize the mining robot carrying Hammett, but Ben allows him to believe they are discussing a human. Leong writes a HK$250,000 check payable to cash and demands the attacker’s head in a box. Ben accepts and cashes it.
Hammett later tries to deter Ben with an account accusing Leong of persecuting Lisa’s family. Lin Jiao identifies the tale as the plot of Oldboy, exposing its use as a deception. After disabling the machine, Ben tells Grace where police have its body and Leong’s GPUs, explaining that he has destroyed the robot’s face.
