Overview
The Loratian Arborist Church is the dominant religious institution in Calinitia Dreaming. It controls the cathedral campus, priestly offices, public sacral messaging, realignment, and the Office of Perpetual Sanctification.
The church venerates the mother Netra and father Turis, but the novel reveals that much of its modern prayer has been compromised by blank-eyed divine effigies.
Role
The church initially appears bureaucratic, corrective, and politically cautious. Through OPS it pressures the MIs, conducts alignment rites, and pushes propaganda during the Nataian invasion.
Guinevere Hail discovers that the true Arborist gods have been obscured by a false voice. After Macix is destroyed, reports suggest that the church and wider Arbordom are waking from that corruption.
