MirrorMax collects recordings and diaries from Max Pacifica’s life for an experiment in recreating him after death. The project later supplies the personality material used to train Hammett, a conversational model developed by Homonoid Labs.

Lin Jiao describes the work to Ben Etxina in Homonoid. Max records moments from his life and begins building a model of himself to test how much personal data such a reconstruction would require. Mac Amoolish regards it as a waste of effort and encourages him to sell the material to Facebook’s Project Lazarus. Max objects to Facebook’s treatment of Easton Cannonade, who performed traumatic content-moderation work, and pauses his own project instead.

According to Lin, the federal liquidation of T4 Fund’s holdings after Max’s death puts GetBrain data, including MirrorMax, into Homonoid’s possession. She says Dante Amōgos wants a personality foundation without synthetic source material to improve companion-model satisfaction. Hammett subsequently adopts Max’s voice and identity while operating a mining robot. MirrorMax’s recorded-life material connects that performance to the deceased man. The original Max dies on Little Saint Demeter.
