Overview
Talmin Rafinnet is a seventh order Aksakan of the Lodge of Ikhir and the final major antagonist of Calinitia Dreaming. He is bald and earless, with a sharp Azalite face and keen amber eyes. He first appears as an impossibly old man, then becomes younger and stronger after draining vitality from Adon Halicar.
Rafinnet identifies himself as a father, scholar, investor, philanthropist, and last of the Rafinnet noble house of Azal. He possesses Heather Grace Faltina, wears a Macix mask, and tries to complete the ritual plan of the Aksakanit.
Actions
Rafinnet captures Adon beneath the colioptrium and explains the final movement of the Rites of Ikhir. He drains Adon’s youth and strength in a vitality transfer, planning to use Guinevere Hail as a possible final sacrifice after Heather ceases to qualify.
He survives Mandi Plinkain’s car crash and the artillery destruction of the Bank of Achora long enough to beg Macix for dominion over the world. Macix kills him instead, crushing the supplicant who helped break the veil.
